Party and Lost was formed in 2009 by four art groups: Randi & Katrine, Hesselholdt & Mejlvang, Bank & Rau, and the remains of Ingen Frygt. The group of groups set out to explore the nature of community, as a source of both power and loss of self, and had its first exhibition in Den Frie, Copenhagen – 600 sqm of 100% collective works. A critique wrote "This is the best AND the worst exhibition of the year. It's like a punk concert".
