Don’t Let ’Em See the White of your Eyes, 2007
Installation. Mixed media, wooden fence, Poul Kjærholm couch, Le Klint lamps, leather curtains. H 220 cm.
A closed, pentagon-shaped fence prevents the viewer from entering, yet each of its five sides features a gun slit offering a narrow glimpse inside. Inside the pentagon is a small room, its walls draped in heavy black curtains. A Poul Kjærholm couch nearly fills the entire space, and on it lies a carefully arranged collection of objects.
Three bare Le Klint lamps, stripped of their shades, cast light across the room.
